Kiwiana

We are learning to: Develop ideas by developing and revisiting visual ideas, in response to examples we have seen, and ideas that we can think of for ourselves. Learning Challenge: Create an artwork in any way you prefer (painting, drawing, building, sewing,  soap carving!) of something you think is Kiwiana… it could be something other artists have identified or something that is an original idea of your own. Here is my kiwiana artwork.

We are learning to: Develop ideas by developing and revisiting visual ideas, in response to examples we have seen, and ideas that we can think of for ourselves. This is what we had to do create a small artwork, no bigger that 5cm high x 5cm wide to put somewhere around your property… do NOT draw on the walls! Do your artwork on a separate piece of paper or wood. Take a photo of your artwork in location for your blog. I didn't know what to draw so I though because ANZAC day is coming up I would do something ANZAC related. Here is my work, it is a poppy on a battlefield.

David Hockney

In class we had to chose an artist and find three of their artworks. Then we had to write about what colours they use, what style their art is, where they get their ideas, etc. Here is mine.

Collaging Google Drawing

Today in room 1 we have been learning to make a collage on Google Drawing. We had to use the explore, mask and arrange tools to get our collage to group together. We had to make a New Zealand bird and have a background of its habitat. It was a lot of fun and I am really pleased with my bird. Have you ever had a go at this? Here is my work it is a New Zealand South Island Robin.
